In preparation for a grilling event, Chandy Loos was slated to participate in, they, along with grill master extraordinaire, “Biggie’, decided to cook for the children and staff at a nearby orphanage. Being able to teach the children a few cooking techniques, and having the opportunity to play and laugh with them, proved to be a special event.
On the morning of December 16, 2019, Chandy Loos set off to the market to purchase supplies for a grill test run. We were scheduled to participate in an event beginning on the 19th, and wanted to make sure that we had the ingredients and taste just right. We thought, what better way to do this than to share the food and provide some basic cooking education to the children and staff of Ondo State Children’s Home? We were able to show the children how to prep chicken and beef for grilling, and Mandy taught some of the girls while she made the grilling sauces. The kids played with us as we cooked. Once the food was ready, we were all able to enjoy the grilled meat, along with some tasty jollof rice that we had purchased from a local caterer to round out the meal. It was an unforgettable day, and we hope to visit the home
