After the government mandated the use of nose masks in Ondo State, we thought it imperative to extend a hand of help to the rural communities where people have no access to the freely distributed nose mask by the Governor of Ondo State. In partnership with Durian Nigeria, an NGO that is committed to the development and rural women and creation of wealth and useful materials from waste; we distributed nose masks and bar soaps at Adejubu Community to enhance hand-washing protocol and compliance with the Governor’s directive regarding combating the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
For Chandy Loos, Adejubu feels like home already. Even when we spread our tentacles far and wide, we’ll always be connected to them. What makes this so; their unity of purpose, communal spirit and quest for their community growth and development . The community is so tightly knit that it feels like it’s almost impossible to practice social distancing. I bet they miss giving us warm hugs and handshakes. Times have changed and even after speaking with them, the farthest they moved from us is seen in some of the group pictures we took. We will continue to motivate them to comply with all measures put in place to combat the spread of COVID-19.

We will continue to take actionable steps to reduce the spread of COVID-19 . We applaud the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu for the initiative to provide nose masks to the populace. You also can do your part to support the government’s effort.
